FAQs & Fees

Who is counseling for?

Counseling is a place to process feelings honestly without judgement. It is also a place to explore who you are and who you want to be, as well as discover the influences and experiences that shape you. While counseling is meaningful for people in mental health crisis, most of us could use a safe space to process hopes, fears, and hard feelings . Wherever you are right now, counseling could be a meaningful way to help you move forward.

What is the fee for a counseling session?

Intake Sessions (80min) $160
Recurring Sessions (50min) $120

(You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises. )

Do you bill insurance / Are you in my network?

I am currently not able to accept insurance, so all sessions will be billed as private pay. I am able to accept HSA/FSA cards as well as provide you with a Superbill you can use to submit an out-of-network reimbursement to your insurer.

What is EMDR?

Check out this great video explanation of EMDR. While I find it to be a wonderful tool in the treatment of trauma, I believe that every person is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. We will discern together if this would be a helpful element of treatment for you.

Are you LGBTQ affirming?

Yes! I have experience serving clients with diverse gender identities and expressions as well as sexual orientations. I would be honored to walk with you wherever you find yourself.
